The Free Methodist Church in Burundi successfully wrapped up its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2026 program, bringing together youth and children across parishes nationwide for three impactful days of faith, fellowship, and learning.
The nationwide gathering took place from July 16 to July 18, 2026, offering young participants a welcoming space to deepen their spiritual roots through fun, age-appropriate activities.
Three Days of Joy, Learning, and Faith
Throughout various local parishes, children and youth engaged in a vibrant schedule designed to nurture both their creativity and spiritual growth. Program highlights included:
- Praise and Worship: Energetic song sessions that brought participants together in joyful worship.
- Games and Drama: Interactive activities and theatrical performances that brought biblical lessons to life.
- Dance and Creative Expression: Dynamic group performances encouraging participation from all ages.
- Scripture Memorization: Dedicated time for memorizing key Bible verses to encourage lifelong reflection.
Centering the gathering was this year’s core theme:
“I, a little child, am committed to seeking wisdom that comes from God, guided by His Word.”
A Lasting Spiritual Impact
VBS educators and parish leaders reported a deeply positive response from the children, noting their high level of enthusiasm, discipline, and eagerness to learn throughout the three-day event.
By combining practical lessons with engaging activities, the program successfully created an environment where young participants felt inspired to grow in their faith.
As the program officially drew to a close on Saturday, July 18, church leadership expressed heartfelt gratitude to God, as well as to the dedicated teachers, volunteers, and parents whose hard work made VBS 2026 a memorable success.
