A total of 676 sponsored children from 45 centers across the six annual conferences of the Burundi Free Methodist Church have received school materials through the ICCM program, which focuses on child development within the Free Methodist Church.
Through the International Child Care Ministries (ICCM) / Holistic Child Development (HCD) department, the Burundi Free Methodist Church has been supporting some children of church leaders and members since 1977.
During the 2026 summer holiday, from July 29–31 and August 4–6, 2026, ICCM provided school materials and other educational materials to help children pursue their education successfully.
The initiative benefited 676 children from 45 centers across the six annual conferences of the Burundi Free Methodist Church.
The ICCM program promotes the holistic development of children, addressing their spiritual, physical, educational, and social needs. Its activities include Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs for children and youth, reading support, agricultural and livestock development initiatives, school supplies, school fees, and school uniforms.
