On February 16, 2025, in the province of Gitega, on Mweya hill, a significant ceremony took place within our Church: the ordination of new pastors serving in the Gitega, Ngozi, and Cankuzo conferences.

This ordination was an opportunity to celebrate and officially appoint these new pastors. The ceremony was led by the Legal Representative of the Church, Bishop Déogratias NSHIMIYIMANA, in the presence of other leaders from the Gitega province.

In his sermon during the ceremony, Bishop Déogratias NSHIMIYIMANA focused on five essential points:

  1. The pastoral vocation: 1 Timothy 3:1-7
  2. The role of the pastor in the Church: Ephesians 4:11-12
  3. The role of believers in respecting pastors and revering the word of God: Hebrews 13:17, Matthew 28:18-20
  4. The blessing associated with respect: Romans 13:1-2
  5. The sending of pastors into ministry

Bishop Déogratias NSHIMIYIMANA encouraged the pastors and the entire Church to renew their commitment to listening to the word of God and following the leadership He has established, both in their homes, in the Church, and in society. He also prayed that God would grant them the strength, wisdom, and grace necessary to work together in unity and in the fear of God.

It is worth noting that these ceremonies were marked by the ordination of candidates as Deacons and the elevation of Deacons to the title of Reverend.
